Father’s Day

Through the hardship I try to keep focusing on the good. It’s not easy and I know tomorrow is going to be rough. I found a card in Rehtaeh’s desk drawer she must have bought last year. A Happy Father’s Day card.

It’s going to be rough but this story made me smile. Priscilla is the wife of Craig Blake. Craig was killed serving in Afghanistan in 2010 and he left behind two young sons. The guys at the Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic (Craig’s unit) reached out to do something nice for them and it was made all the better with this:

Well done Costco!

  1. Rehtaeh will always be you daughter and you will always be her father. No one and nothing can take that away. Tomorrow is father day and you were her father every day of her life and you still are her caring, loving father. I heard that she was really helpful, nice and smart…. so I’m sure she will find a way tomorrow to send you a sign.
I just noticed that the last 5 letters in the word father reads Rehta backwards.
You ARE a great Dad. So, to Rehtaeh’s dad I wish a Happy Father day: to the amazing, loving and wonderful Dad you are.
