Victor walks for Rehtaeh

Victor Walk
Victor Walk
I’m humbled by the amount of people speaking up for Rehtaeh. Fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers have written me messages or left comments of support and condolences.

I’ve lost count of the women who’ve reached out to me with their stories of being raped as teenagers and having to walk away without justice. Many of them have wanted to die but managed to hang on and rebuild their lives.

It has helped me and angered me.

The Theo Fleury Victor Walk Team also reached out to let me know that Theo will dedicate a day of his upcoming walk to Rehtaeh.

What a wonderful thing to do.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at your time of loss. In honor of Rehtaeh the Theo Fleury Victor Walk Team is dedicating a day of the walk to her .

The “Victor Walk” is an important part of the Victor movement which will bring attention to this important, sensitive and often misunderstood issue of Child Sexual Abuse that has plagued our country and been neglected by our politicians and our courts for far too long.

Theo will start his walk on May 14, 2013 at the “Child Abuse Monument” located in Toronto and will finish at the steps of “Parliament” in Ottawa on May 23, 2013 where he will read aloud his original unedited victim impact statement on behalf of himself and all victims of sexual abuse.

Rehtaeh will never be forgotten! We will be thinking of you and the rest of Rehtaeh’s family now and in the days to come.

Join Theo Fleury on the steps of Parliament oncMay 23, 2013!

  1. Theo Fleury is one classy guy. Love that he’s dedicating a day of his walk to highlight his respect for your daughter Rehtaeh and your family. If anyone knows how to speak about child & teenage rape and how difficult and unfair our justice system in regard to this violent crime, it’s Theo. Thank you for sharing this with us. Regards, Mary Baxter, Mississauga, Ontario

  2. My heart is with you & your family, my sincere condolences. I can relate all to well to the feelings your family are going through. The injustice of our so called justice system. Having my beautiful happy healthy grand daughter 4.5 months old Delonna Sullivan illegally taken put into foster care & died 6 days later. Witnessed by RCMP. Still no charges have been laid. A common ground for both of us is the RCMP have a responsibility as public servants to do their JOBS. Protect the citizens of this country. At present we are in the midst of a major law suit including the RCMP. Money does NOT bring our precious loved ones back but we are hoping it will help to put pressure on them to do their jobs so other families do not have to endure what we are having to deal with. If I can be of any help please email me@ tmgonefishn@msn.com HUGS
