“I RISE because knowing what’s right means nothing unless I DO what’s right”

12 year old Alyna is a grade 7 student in the Toronto District School Board System. She is an ambassador for Peace Tree International promoting peace, diversity, inclusivity and gender equality at every opportunity. She spoke yesterday at the One Billion Rising event in Toronto. To hear her talk gives me faith in the future. She is an amazing young lady and a true inspiration.

I’m so glad I could attend this wonderful event and share my thoughts about men’s violence against women and my beautiful daughter Rehtaeh. It was very moving to see so much support expressed in such a fun way.
